Checklist for applying to Master of Data Analytics / Master of Data Analytics (Professional) at Bond University

Both Bond University data analytics masters list a recognised Bachelor degree in any field as the entry requirement.

Bond University offers two data analytics coursework masters: the Master of Data Analytics and the Master of Data Analytics (Professional). Both need a recognised Bachelor degree in any field. Both start on the Gold Coast campus, and both ask for the same English scores. Below are the points to tick off before you apply.

1. Confirm which program you are applying to

  • Both are Masters Degree (Coursework) programs in the Actuarial Science and Data Analytics study area.
  • The Master of Data Analytics has program code BN-13149 and CRICOS code 116380H.
  • The Master of Data Analytics (Professional) has program code BN-13150 and CRICOS code 116381G.
  • Use the CRICOS code on your application and visa paperwork, because the two programs have different codes.

2. Compare length and credit points

  • The Master of Data Analytics takes 1 year 4 months, which is 4 semesters.
  • It requires 120 credit points, all from compulsory subjects.
  • The Professional version runs 92 weeks.
  • It requires 165 credit points, also all compulsory.
  • Bond describes the credit structure for both programs as a set of essential subjects.

3. Pick an intake

Both programs list the same four on-campus starts at the Gold Coast Campus:

  • September 2026
  • January 2027
  • September 2027
  • January 2028

4. Budget the tuition

These are the international student tuition figures Bond lists, in Australian dollars.

For the Master of Data Analytics:

  • 2026 entry costs AUD 19,975 per semester, or AUD 79,900 for the whole program.
  • 2027 entry costs AUD 20,880 per semester, or AUD 83,520 for the whole program.

For the Master of Data Analytics (Professional):

  • 2026 entry costs AUD 86,530 for the whole program.
  • 2027 entry costs AUD 90,450 for the whole program.

Bond presents these fees as a guide only. They vary with the subjects you choose and the year you start, and the fee that applies is the one for your year of entry.

5. Check the academic entry requirement

  • Bond asks for successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree, or an equivalent qualification, in any field.
  • The wording is the same for both programs.
  • A first degree in mathematics or computing is not listed as a condition.

6. Check how your country’s degree is treated

Bond lists a specific qualification for applicants from two places:

  • China: a recognised 4-year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree.
  • Taiwan: a recognised 4-year Bachelor degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree.

For both, the stated requirement is a completed recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent in any field. Compare your own degree’s length and level against that wording before you start the form.

7. Check your English test score

Bond’s program page gives these minimums for IELTS Academic and PTE Academic:

  • IELTS Academic: overall 6.5, with no sub-score below 6.0.
  • PTE Academic: overall 58, with no Communicative Score below 50.

The same English requirement applies to both programs. The page also lists other accepted tests, but the figures above are the two to check against your results first.

8. Line up your documents against these points

Before you submit, make sure you can answer yes to each of these:

  1. Have I chosen between BN-13149 and BN-13150?
  2. Does my intended start month match one of the four listed intakes?
  3. Does my completed degree meet the recognised Bachelor standard for my country?
  4. Do my English scores meet the overall and sub-score minimums?
  5. Have I budgeted using the fee for the year I will actually start?
  6. Does the program length fit my visa and study plans, whether 1 year 4 months or 92 weeks?

Fees, intakes and entry requirements are subject to what Bond publishes for the year you enter.
